Can I use calls and texts with eSIM?

GIGA7U-10U-30U are data-only plans. You can receive incoming calls and SMS, but can not make outgoing calls and send SMS.

GIGA120 includes free calls to mobile numbers (not include hotline and landline numbers). So if you're using GIGA120, you can make free outgoing calls. To send SMS and make outgoing calls to hotline and landline numbers, you need to top up credit to use this feature. 

Other GIGAGO eSIM plans include free data and a Vietnamese phone number for receiving incoming calls and texts. To make outgoing calls or send texts, you need to top up to use this feature.

Here are the things you need to know about top up eSIM number: 

1. Buy a Vinaphone scratch card (in Vietnamese, it is called “Thẻ cào Vinaphone”). It can be VND 50,000, 100,000, 200,000, depending on you.
2. Scratch its back to get the topup code.
3. Go to your phone’s phone call icon, switch your number to eSIM number and type *100*your-top-up-code# and press OK to complete the process.
