You should buy the eSIM before your departure from Vietnam. By doing so, you will have time to install it to your phone before departure and then activate it upon landing in Vietnam and get yourself connected immediately.
Please note:
- For eSIM data plans (GIGA7-10-15-120), the validity only starts when you activate it by text message, not at the time of installation. So your installation before departure will not affect your eSIM validity.
- For other eSIM data plans, the validity starts right after installation. So you should install the eSIM one day before departure.
